"We are our heavenly Father's children
And we all know that He loves us over all.
Yet there are times when we find that we
answer to another's voice and call.
But if we are willing I know the Lord will teach us
His voice only to obey, no matter where
For He knows how much we can bear.
Just think of a time when we've asked
the question deep, deep down in our hearts,
We just say, 'Lord, what shall I do?
And then we confide in our friends and loved
ones, but oh they have troubles, too.
But there is a God and He rules earth and heaven,
And in Him you find relief from every pain and care.
You know the heavenly Father always answers
prayers and He knows how much we can bear."

Be Strong and Courageous
Yesterday i needed these words of encouragement so much....in spiralling down and pulling down circumstances these words of life brought so much hope and strenghth and a purpose to live.
Taken from Max Lucado's "Facing the giants"
Be Strong and Courageous
Have I not commanded you; Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. — Joshua 1:9
Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. — Philippians 3:13–14
In 1952, Florence Chadwick attempted to swim the chilly ocean waters between Catalina Island and the California shore. She swam through foggy weather and choppy seas for fifteen hours. Her muscles began to cramp, and her resolve weakened. She begged to be taken out of the water, but her mother, riding in a boat alongside, urged her not to give up. She kept trying but grew exhausted and stopped swimming. Aides lifted her out of the water and into the boat. They paddled a few more minutes, the mist broke, and she discovered that the shore was less than a half mile away.
“All I could see was the fog,” she explained at a news conference. “I think if I could have seen the shore, I would have made it.”
Take a long look at the shore that awaits you. Don’t be fooled by the fog of the slump. The finish may be only strokes away. God may be, at this moment, lifting his hand to signal Gabriel to grab the trumpet. Angels may be assembling, saints gathering, demons trembling. Stay at it! Stay in the water. Stay in the race. Stay in the fight.
Give grace, one more time. Be generous, one more time. Teach one more class, encourage one more soul, swim one more stroke.
—Max Lucado, Facing Your Giants
A prayer for today:
Father, you created us and you know everything there is to know about us. You know how discouraged we get at times and how we want to give up the struggles we face. Sometimes it seems as if we have more struggles than strength. We are tempted to quit. When that happens, Lord, remind us to endure for one more day, to be patient one more time, to serve without reward for one more season, amen.
Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. — Joshua 1:9
I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you. — Isaiah 46:4
He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. — Proverbs 30:5

Family time
Ask me, what is a rare happening in recent times , answer is" family time".
Family time in recent years has seen a negative trend. As we spend more and more time surfing the net, on phone or on office trips or bringing home office work, we are losing on quality time with our dear and near ones.
Even conversations within the home is limited to hello and bye, couples sit speechless hooked on TV, making minimal conversations with each other.
Howsoever appealing the internet , facebook , TV or mobile may seem , we should not compromise on family time.

Lot's Wife
GENESIS 19:23-26
23 By the time Lot reached Zoar, the sun had risen over the land. 24
Then the Lord rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah —from the Lord
out of the heavens. 25 Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain,
destroying all those living in the cities—and also the vegetation in the land.
26 But Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.
Here is a beautiful poem depicting the consequences of crucial choices or decisions we sometimes make in our lives under most demanding situations.Lot's wife despite the escape from the horrendous situations and the repeated warnings from the angels, could not stand looking back, she was not bound for the unknown future that God had kept for her family, after this great escape, perhaps she was the reason in convincing Lot in settling at Sodom and Gommorah in the first place.
I find myself sometimes like her, knowing fully well the dangers iam attracted to look back, how many times , i find myself being chastened by the inner quiet voice of the Holy Spirit, the situation may not be this crucial as in above story, but in day to day life , the choices we make, are the ones having the rippling effect on the far greater consequential choice.
-Ruth Joyful
Lot's Wife
by Anna Akhmatova
translated by Max
Hayward and Stanley Kunitz
And the just man
trailed God's shining agent,
over a black mountain,
in his giant track,
while a restless voice
kept harrying his woman:
"It's not too
late, you can still look back
at the red towers of
your native Sodom,
the square where once
you sang, the spinning-shed,
at the empty windows
set in the tall house
where sons and
daughters blessed your marriage-bed."
A single glance: a
sudden dart of pain
stitching her eyes
before she made a sound . . .
Her body flaked into
transparent salt,
and her swift legs
rooted to the ground.
Who will grieve for
this woman? Does she not seem
too insignificant for
our concern?
Yet in my heart I
never will deny her,
who suffered death
because she chose to turn.

amazing LOVE
I forget your role in my life,
i shy away sometimes from telling them,
i move away from reflecting upon your love,
time again i hurt you,
time and again i yearn for love,
when you are so close to me,
yet i fail to feel you,
but kow deep down,
your arms are always there for me,
dear Lord,
your love is so powerful that,
even when i move away , it follows me.

i move away from reflecting upon your love,

When my time is not yours, my LORD,
When my time is not yours, my LORD,
oh what a struggle it is,
i find myself , twisting and tossing,
i find myself looking up,
with hands folded in prayer,
i also find myself pacing restlessly,
up and down ,
my heart suggests several ways,
some i accept and some i decline,
but yet LORD, i find myself waiting,
for the help has to come from you,
deep inside i know, you care,
and in your silence too, there is a purpose unfolding,
a purpose tp bless me more,
a purpose to draw me nearer to thee,
i know your delays are not denials,
yet i long that my hours of waiting end,
and i rejoice to praise you for the favour done.

life's ways are strange
Too much thinking is not good,
it doesn't change life's course,
life's ways are strange,
they don't unfold as we think, or speculate,
sometimes life's surprises brings joy,
sometimes it is devastating,
all i need LORD is your GRACE and MERCY,
each hour and each minute,
to trust in you,
and rely on your strength, for life's rough ways.

(Habakkuk 2:1) waiting is so tough LORD
“I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint” (Habakkuk 2:1)
i have put forth my requets before HIM.
i need HIS guidance,
so i would like to wait,
i know HE cares,
but i also know HIS answers are sometimes silence,
for YOU LORD, know the right time,
iam but a fragile person wanting to take the best counsel,
so i wait and as i wait i don,t want to grumble,
but i would rather praise for YOUR multitudes of goodness ,
in my life,
so i wait LORD, for YOU.
i have put forth my requets before HIM.
i need HIS guidance,
so i would like to wait,
i know HE cares,

Innumerable times has the Lord watched over me, Ps 121:7
THE LORD WILL KEEP YOU ( AND THE DEAR ONES TOO ) FROM ALL HARM-
AND HE WILL WATCH OVER YOUR LIFE.
Ps.121:7
Innumerable times has the Lord watched over me,
He shielded me from fiery darts and arrows flying at me
He protected me and the near ones and the dear ones
from deadly pestilence,
how comforting that i flee to Him and call upon Him,
every time i sense danger around,
He is my Fortress and Refuge,
the very first and the very present help,
and how amazing that He watches over me even iam unaware,
from hidden snares and pitfalls,
Surely You LORD are my protector and shield.

He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater,
Lord, when i feel all my strength is lost, when my mind is simply not tuned into coming to you, when i feel iam being pulled into a suction, and i feel people around don't care, when iam helpless in changing the way i think, when all things look shaky and fear comes knocking now and then at my minds door, let me remind myself that...
Thy Grace is Sufficeint for Me.
For LORD , you know me in and out, and my thoughts are laid bare before you , even before they strike my mind.
So in my uncomprehension about you , i would like to loose the comprehension of my situation, and know that the Sovereign Lord knows to meet my every need.
He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength when the labors increase;
To added affliction He addeth His mercies,
To multiplied trials His multiplied peace.
When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources
Our Father's full giving is only begun.
His love has no limit, His grace has no measure,
His power no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
He giveth and giveth and giveth again.
