amazing LOVE

I forget your role  in my life,
i shy away sometimes from telling them,
i move away from reflecting upon your love,
time again i hurt you,
time and again i yearn for love,
when you are so close to me,
yet i fail to feel you,
but kow deep down,
your arms are always there for me,

dear Lord,
your love is so powerful that,
even when i move away , it follows me.

simple steps bring bundle of joys

a kind word
a simple smile
a laughter from the heart
 a cheerful remark
a timely appreciation
a warm hug
a helping hand
 a listening ear
a patient attitude
works wonders
both to the giver and
the reciever.

When my time is not yours, my LORD,

When my time is not yours, my LORD,
oh what a struggle it is,
i find myself , twisting and tossing,
i find myself looking up,
with hands folded in prayer,
i also find myself pacing restlessly,
up and down ,
my heart suggests several ways,
some i accept and some i decline,
but yet LORD, i find myself waiting,
for the help has to come from you,
deep inside i know, you care,
and in your silence too, there is a purpose unfolding,
a purpose tp bless me more,
a purpose to draw me nearer to thee,
i know your delays are not denials,
yet i long that my hours of waiting end,
and i rejoice to praise you for the favour done.

life's ways are strange

Too much thinking is not good,
it doesn't change life's course,
life's ways are strange,
they don't unfold as we think, or speculate,
sometimes life's surprises brings joy,
sometimes it is devastating,
all i need LORD is your GRACE and MERCY,
each hour and each minute,
to trust in you,
and rely on your strength, for life's rough ways.

(Habakkuk 2:1) waiting is so tough LORD

 “I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint” (Habakkuk 2:1)

i  have put forth my requets before HIM.
i need HIS guidance,
so i would like to wait,
i know HE cares,
but i also know HIS answers are sometimes silence,
for YOU LORD, know the right time,
iam but a fragile person wanting to take the best counsel,
so i wait and as i wait i don,t want to grumble,
but i would rather praise for YOUR multitudes of  goodness ,
in my life,
so i wait LORD, for YOU.

Innumerable times has the Lord watched over me, Ps 121:7

THE LORD WILL KEEP YOU ( AND THE DEAR ONES TOO ) FROM ALL HARM-
AND HE WILL WATCH OVER YOUR LIFE.
Ps.121:7

Innumerable times has the Lord watched over me,
He shielded me from fiery darts and arrows flying at me
He protected me and the near ones and the dear ones
from deadly pestilence,
how comforting that i flee to Him and call upon Him,
every time i sense danger around,
He is my Fortress and Refuge,
the very first and the very present help,
and how amazing that He watches over me even iam unaware,
from hidden snares and pitfalls,
Surely You LORD are my protector and shield.

He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater,

 Lord, when i feel all my strength is lost, when my mind is simply not tuned into coming to you, when i feel iam being pulled into a suction, and i feel people around don't care, when iam helpless in changing the way i think, when all things look shaky and fear comes knocking now and then at my minds door, let me remind myself that...
Thy Grace is Sufficeint for Me.

For LORD , you know me in and out, and my thoughts are laid bare before you , even before they strike my mind.
So in my uncomprehension about you , i would like to loose the comprehension   of my situation, and know that the Sovereign Lord knows to meet my every need.

He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength when the labors increase;
To added affliction He addeth His mercies,
To multiplied trials His multiplied peace.

When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources
Our Father's full giving is only begun.

His love has no limit, His grace has no measure,

His power no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
He giveth and giveth and giveth again.

Tarde te amé- San Agustín

Tarde te amé-
  San Agustín

Tarde te amé
O la belleza cada antigua y tan nueva!
Tarde te amé
Y he aquí,
Tú estabas dentro y yo fuera,
y sin que usted busca.
Y deforme que corrió detrás de estas formas
de la belleza que ha hecho.

Tú estabas conmigo
Y yo no estaba contigo.
Esas cosas me detuvo de ti,
cosas que sólo se
iba a ser en ti.

Usted llama, usted gritó;
y rompiste mi sordera.
Que brilló, usted brilló;
y ahuyentaron a mi ceguera.
Que se convirtió en fragante;
y aspiré y suspiré por ti.

probé
y ahora tienen hambre y sed
para usted.

Usted me ha tocado;
y quemado por su abrazo.

~ San agustín

Evergreen Dev Anand

One of my favourite actors is Dev Anand, i just adore him for his looks, hair, his style, above all his charm.

I read from an interview given by Waheeda Rehman that he was also a wonderful human being.He helped ease of the tension between her and director Raj Khosla at the making of the film C.I.D.He kept his promise of giving her a leading role in his movie, by offering her the lead role in the cult film GUIDE. He also kept his promise to the then budding assistant director Guru Dutt, his production house's debut film.Dev Anand became good friends with Guru Dutt at the sets of his first movie .His production house Navkrtan produced many hit films.His movies had flamboyant music and lyrics.He will remain an evergreen star in the minds of people.One of his life motto was to go ahead in life and forget the past as he sings in his famous movie HUM DONO--Mein Zindagi Ka Sath Nibatha Chala Gaya.
His quote-"
Dreams should never die. When the dreams are dead, you are dead. After fulfilling every dream, I realize there is a new dream that dawns. I used to dream about the Hollywood people...my inspiration is Hollywood in 1950s."

..............searching the lives of saints and sisters

There are times in life, when i feel like searching the lives of saints and sisters, reading their views, their struggles, joys and how they approached God when faced with turmoil, doubt or how conscious they were to sufferings of humanity and the efforts they made to lessen or alleviate them but some times the lives of ordinary people living ordinary lives, with its struggles and joys  pull me.I am impressed by people who think about others, as to what they say, do and think can have effect on others but they are few , in  the ocean of million others who are so occupied with their own lives that they scarcely realize how their ignorance and empathy to others takes away the smile from others lives.
Throwing garbage on the open, not helping an elderly , a cold look, a hurtful remark  can snatch a moments joy from  someone else life.
It needs effort and a conscious attempt, to be aware of others around.It also depends on ones upbringing.Just as looking good and losing weight requires effort, a sympathetic attitude needs cultivation, more acquired by watching the peers around.
Live a life of fragrance and spread fragrance around to others too whenever possible
Do to others as you would want others to unto you.

In the hands of God-Teresa of Avila

I am Yours and born of You,
What do You want of me?

Majestic Sovereign,
Unending wisdom,
Kindness pleasing to my soul;
God sublime, one Being Good,
Behold this one so vile.
Singing of her love to you:
What do You want of me?

Yours, you made me,
Yours, you saved me,
Yours, you endured me,
Yours, you called me,
Yours, you awaited me,
Yours, I did not stray.
What do You want of me?

Good Lord, what do you want of me,
What is this wretch to do?
What work is this,
This sinful slave, to do?
Look at me, Sweet Love,
Sweet Love, look at me,
What do You want of me?

In Your hand
I place my heart,
Body, life and soul,
Deep feelings and affections mine,
Spouse -- Redeemer sweet,
Myself offered now to you,
What do You want of me?

Give me death, give me life,
Health or sickness,
Honor or shame,
War or swelling peace,
Weakness or full strength,
Yes, to these I say,
What do You want of me?

Give me wealth or want,
Delight or distress,
Happiness or gloominess,
Heaven or hell,
Sweet life, sun unveiled,
To you I give all.
What do You want of me?

Give me, if You will, prayer;
Or let me know dryness,
And abundance of devotion,
Or if not, then barrenness.
In you alone, Sovereign Majesty,
I find my peace,
What do You want of me?

Give me then wisdom.
Or for love, ignorance,
Years of abundance,
Or hunger and famine.
Darkness or sunlight,
Move me here or there:
What do You want of me?

If You want me to rest,
I desire it for love;
If to labor,
I will die working:
Sweet Love say
Where, how and when.
What do You want of me?

Calvary or Tabor give me,
Desert or fruitful land;
As Job in suffering
Or John at Your breast;
Barren or fruited vine,
Whatever be Your will:
What do You want of me?

Be I Joseph chained
Or as Egypt's governor,
David pained
Or exalted high,
Jonas drowned,
Or Jonas freed:
What do You want of me?

Silent or speaking,
Fruitbearing or barren,
My wounds shown by the Law,
Rejoicing in the tender Gospel;
Sorrowing or exulting,
You alone live in me:
What do You want of me?

Yours I am, for You I was born:
What do You want of me?

Santa Teresa de Ávila-Vamos a problemas nada de lo que

Vamos a problemas nada de lo que

Que nada te problemas.

No dejes que nada te asuste.

Todo es efímero.

Sólo Dios es inmutable.

paciencia

Todo lo que obtiene.

¿Quién posee a Dios

Nada quiere.

Sólo Dios basta.

A little bird I am- By Madame Guyon

  1. A little bird I am,
      Shut from the fields of air,
    And in my cage I sit and sing
      To Him who placed me there;
    Well pleased a prisoner to be,
    Because, my God, it pleaseth Thee.

  1. Nought have I else to do,
      I sing the whole day long;
    And He whom most I love to please
      Doth listen to my song;
    He caught and bound my wandering wing;
    But still He bends to hear me sing.
  2. Thou hast an ear to hear
      A heart to love and bless;
    And though my notes were e'er so rude,
      Thou wouldst not hear the less;
    Because Thou knowest as they fall,
    That love, sweet love, inspires them all.
  3. My cage confines me round;
      Abroad I cannot fly;
    But though my wing is closely bound,
      My heart's at liberty;
    For prison walls cannot control
    The flight, the freedom of the soul.
  4. O it is good to soar
      These bolts and bars above!
    To Him whose purpose I adore,
      Whose providence I love;

    And in Thy mighty will to find
    The joy, the freedom of the mind.
Madame Guyon

A Christmas Hymn-proclaiming Messiah's birth

Angels from the Realms of Glory

Angels from the realms of glory,
Wing your flight o'er all the earth;
Ye who sang creation's story,
Now proclaim Messiah's birth:
Come and worship,
Come and worship,
Worship Christ, the newborn King!

Shepherds, in the fields abiding,
Watching o'er your flocks by night,
God with man is now residing,
Yonder shines the infant Light;
Come and worship,
Come and worship,
Worship Christ, the newborn King!

Sages, leave your contemplations,
Brighter visions beam afar;
Seek the great desire of nations,
Ye have seen His natal star;
Come and worship,
Come and worship,
Worship Christ, the newborn King!

Saints before the altar bending,
Watching long in hope and fear,
Suddenly the Lord, descending,
In His temple shall appear:
Come and worship,
Come and worship,
Worship Christ, the newborn King!

Anne Frank on Nature, GOD, Jews and Writing

Anne Frank Quotes on  Nature and God

 "When I looked outside right into the depth of Nature and God, then I was happy, really happy. And Peter, so long as I have that happiness here, the joy in nature, health and a lot more besides, all the while one has that, one can always recapture happiness.
"Riches can all be lost, but that happiness in your own heart can only be veiled, and it will still bring you happiness again, as long as you live. As long as you can look fearlessly up into the heavens, as long as you know that you are pure within, and that you will still find happiness." Wednesday, 23 February, 1944
 "I've found that there is always some beauty left-in nature, sunshine, freedom, in yourself; these can all help you. Look at these things, then you find yourself again, and God, and then you regain your balance. And whoever is happy will make others happy too. He who has courage and faith will never perish in misery!" Tuesday, 7 March, 1944

Anne Frank on Jews
Quote 9: "I could go on for hours about all the suffering the war has brought, but then I would only make myself more dejected. There is nothing we can do but wait as calmly as we can till the misery comes to an end. Jews and Christians wait, the whole earth waits; and there are many who wait for death." Wednesday, 13 January, 1943, pg. 48
Quote 8: "I feel wicked sleeping in a warm bed, while my dearest friends have been knocked down or have fallen into a gutter somewhere out in the cold night. I get frightened when I think of close friends who have now been delivered into the hands of the cruelest brutes that walk the earth. And all because they are Jews!" Thursday, 19 November, 1942
How writing strengthened Anne Frank in her hiding place
Quote1: "Still," she writes, "what does that matter? I want to write, but more than that, I want to bring out all kinds of things that lie buried deep in my heart." Saturday, 20 June, 1942, pg. 2
Quote 19: "I want to go on living even after my death! And therefore I am grateful to God for giving me this gift, this possibility of developing myself and of writing, of expressing all that is in me. I can shake off everything if I write; my sorrows disappear, my courage is reborn." Tuesday, 4 April, 1944

Cannibalism Normal For Early Humans?

Cannibalism Normal For Early Humans?:

"Scientists from England, Australia, and Papua New Guinea say that cannibalism is the most likely explanation for their discovery that genes protecting against brain diseases that can be contracted by eating contaminated flesh have long been spread throughout the world.
A growing body of evidence, such as piles of human bones with clear signs of human butchery, suggests cannibalism was widespread among ancient cultures. The discovery of this genetic resistance, which shows signs of having spread as a result of natural selection, supports the physical evidence for cannibalism, say the scientists
The brain diseases, called prion diseases, are characterized by loss of coordination, dementia, paralysis, and eventually death. Modern examples include Creutzfeld Jacob disease and kuru in humans and mad cow disease, or bovine spongiform encephalopathy, in animals."

Languages on Papua vanish without a whisper

Languages on Papua vanish without a whisper | Entertainment | DAWN.COM:
"New Guinea is home to more than 1,000 languages — around 800 in Papua New Guinea and 200 in Indonesian Papua — but most have fewer than 1,000 speakers, often centred around a village or cluster of hamlets.
Some 80 per cent of New Guinea’s people live in rural areas and many tribes, especially in the isolated mountains, have little contact with one another, let alone with the outside world.
The most widely-spoken language is Enga, with around 200,000 speakers in the highlands of central PNG, followed by Melpa and Huli.
“Every time someone dies, a little part of the language dies too because only the oldest people still use it,” said Nico, the curator of Cendrawasih University’s museum.
“In towns but also eventually in the forest, Indonesian has become the main language for people under 40"

A Bird's Song

When I would play my song
You used to sing along.
I always seem to forget
How fragile are the very strong.
I'm sorry I can't steal you
I'm sorry I can't stay
So I put band-aids on your knees
And watch you fly away

I'm sending you away tonight

I'll put you on a bird's strong wing
I'm saving you the best way I know how
I hope again one day to hear you sing

You know we're not so far away

Get on a boat, get on a train
And if you ever think you're drowning
I'll try to slow the rain
In two years or so
Drop me a line
Write me a letter
I hope to find you're doing better, better than today, better everyday

I'm sending you away tonight

I'll put you on a bird's strong wing
I'm saving you the best way I know how
I hope again one day to hear you sing
I'm saving you the only way that I know how
I hope again one day to hear you sing
I hope again one day to see you bring your smile back around again
